You had caught a glimpse of the wider vision God has for you and how He could use you. You can see what God wants to do: kingdom ministry lived out in fresh ways. You’re on the cusp of great things. But it certainly hasn’t been easy so far. When you’re really in the trenches of day-to-day ministry, do you have extra time? Extra money? Extra energy? You already have so much to do, so many challenges, so many people clamoring for your attention or coming to you with problems. It’s hard not to lose sight of the vision amidst all the challenges. At times like that, getting a coach can feel like just one more “should” on your to-do list. Something that might be a good idea at some point, but you probably won’t get around to it very soon. But, what if coaching was the thing that could turn the rest of those problems around? What if a coaching relationship resulted in more time and energy? More fruitful ministry? Better management of staff, volunteers, and resources? Quality coaching at least doubles the fruitfulness of your ministry. When was the last time someone tried to help you with your problems? When was the last time someone even really listened to you? We all need that:
